Photos with Grand Champion Gourd
Proceeds Benefit the Cabrillo Education Foundation
How often do you get to see and touch a hard-to-believe, larger-than-life 1-ton pumpkin (2,000 pounds!)—let alone get to have your photo taken alongside something so extraordinary?
At this year’s Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival, October 19-20, you can do both and be the proud owner of an unforgettable keepsake plus help out a great cause!
Your awesome one-of-a-kind photo will be snapped and instantly printed for a special take-home keepsake. The cost is $20 per 4x6 print, with discounts for multiple copies or poses. All proceeds benefit the Cabrillo Education Foundation (CEF), a non-profit for the sole benefit of the students attending our 7 local Coastside public schools.
CEF champions success for all Coastside public school students. Through our endowment and fundraising efforts, we are able to allocate money to support key priorities such as a credentialed 5th grade science teacher, Early literacy support, Math and Science teacher collaboration time, Real Life Learning program at the High School, over $10,000 in Innovation Grants, as well as granting over $25,000 in scholarships.
“CEF’s endowment is an example of our community’s commitment to creating a long-lasting foundation for all of our students”, according to its Executive Director, Corrine Bucher.
Your gift makes a difference and we are grateful to all of our donors and partners. Find out more about Cabrillo Education Foundation at: http://www.ceffund.org.
This year's photo booth is made possible by the generous support of Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF). "When our region’s children have access to strong schools and their families have access to high-quality childcare and other support, our whole region can thrive because of it. We have a long history of supporting programs in Coastside schools and are grateful to support the work of the Cabrillo Education Foundation as a sponsor of the Giant Pumpkin Photo Booth," said Nicole Taylor, President and CEO of SVCF.
Serving San Mateo and Santa Clara counties, SVCF connects people, ideas and resources to transform systems and ensure equity and opportunity for all. Learn more at www.siliconvalleycf.org.
The giant pumpkin photo booth is located at the corner of Miramontes and Main Streets.
