Half Moon Bay Winery’s Pumpkin Festival Monterey Rosé
This Year's Pumpkin Festival-Label Wine
Most people who attend the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival look forward to the famous coastal food as much as the world-class art and fabulous entertainment.
Rounding out the experience, festivalgoers will also have the opportunity to sip and savor exceptional wine, as Half Moon Bay Winery returns as the festival’s official wine sponsor.
Their 2025 Monterey Rosé of Grenache is this year's Pumpkin Festival label wine. This commemorative Pumpkin Festival wine is 100% Grenache, showing aromas and flavors of cherry, strawberry and ripe watermelon melon rind with rose petal floral notes. Light body with bright acidity followed by a lingering red fruit finish. Pairs well with salads, shellfish, cheese, chicken or burgers. Stainless steel fermented and aged.
Half Moon Bay Winery will also be pouring their popular Fisherman’s Red, a 2024 Monterey Red Blend of 67% Cabernet, 16% Cabernet Franc, 9% Merlot, and 8% Syrah. The Red Blend shows flavors of plum, black cherry, and raspberry, with aromas of chocolate, vanilla, and lavender with smooth tannins and a nice lingering finish. Enjoy with hearty stews, steaks, burgers, pizza, and all everyday meals. Aged in neutral French oak barrels for 20 months.
Wine will be available by the glass at two booths hosted by the Half Moon Bay Coastside Chamber of Commerce.
The Pumpkin Festival-label Monterey Rosé will also be available by the bottle (to take home) at the Half Moon Bay Beautification Committee’s Pumpkin Festival merchandise booth.
Half Moon Bay Winery is owned by Joe Cotchett, a longtime Main Street preservationist. “In creating the Half Moon Bay Winery label, we’ve taken the opportunity to make wines that complement the coast’s signature produce and seafood,” says Joe Cotchett. “Visitors will be able to enjoy pairing coastside wine and food while strolling at the festival.”
The Winery is releasing new vintages of Rose of Grenache, Mavericks Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Fisherman’s Red. Available at the end of September!
